Project History

 

In 1998, ABIMÓVEL (Brazilian Furniture and Manufactures Association) in partnership with Apex-Brazil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) signed the first agreement for the development of the Brazilian Program of Increasing Exports Furniture (PROMÓVEL).

 

The program began with the perception of the public and private sectors about the potential expansion of exports of Brazilian furniture sector. However, in view of the need to conduct a comprehensive study involving from structuring and training of Brazilian companies, until its effective integration into the international market, was signed in 2005, a new agreement on technical and financial cooperation that gave rise the Brazilian Furniture. 

 

The Brazilian Furniture is a bold project that unites Brazilian government and furniture industry intelligences with the goal of developing the furniture sector in Brazil.
