ABIMAD COMES TO ITS 29TH EDITION AWARE OF THE GROWTH OF THE LUXURY MARKET

03/12/2019

São Paulo, December 2019 - According to a study by Consultancy Euromonitor International, the luxury market generated R$ 26 billion in Brazil last year. The survey also predicts that, by 2023, the value will increase to R$ 29 billion. With an eye on the opportunities that include the high-end furniture and accessories segment, the Brazilian Association of High Decoration Furniture Industries (ABIMAD) announces the launch of ABIMAD'29, considered the main fair for high-end furniture and accessories in Latin America and the only one in the sector focused on business.

The event takes place between February 4th and 7th, at São Paulo Expo, and marks the beginning of the Brazilian calendar of fairs in the segment, bringing together the biggest names in the furniture, accessories and decoration industry to present the news and the main market trends for a select audience of retailers and buyers from Brazil and abroad. There will be more than 160 exhibitors, spread over an area of ??30 thousand m², with the expectation of receiving more than 20 thousand visitors.

“We are going to promote the ideal scenario for our exhibitors and visitors to promote business, with high decoration as the main product. ABIMAD is a consolidated fair, with 16 years of history, and in 2020 we will have an event even more focused on the excellence of results”, explains Michel Otte, president of ABIMAD. To this end, in 2020, the association will continue the partnership and cooperation agreement with ABIMÓVEL to carry out the business rounds of the Buyer Project, promoted by the Brazilian Furniture (ABIMÓVEL) and Apex-Brasil project.

Moreover, reinforce the promotion and incentive for exportation for members of the ABIMAD Export project, the fair will hold its traditional international business rounds, which will count on the participation of 54 exporting companies that will sponsor the importers' coming as VIP guests. “The two initiatives are important tools to bring suppliers closer to the main international buyers,” says Michel.

Connecting Design

ABIMAD's new promotional campaign has the motto “Connecting Design”. The theme is an analogy to the famous magic cube in which, in order to achieve the goal of uniting all colors, it takes wisdom, commitment, concentration, experience, intelligence, skill and logic. “Comparing the cube with the high decoration design, we want to tell the market that the ABIMAD fair brings together all its stages, idealization, creation, development, configuration, conception, elaboration and specification of products, in 4 days of the fair with the main manufacturers and suppliers in the high decoration market”, points out Michel Otte. The campaign brings images of the highlights of the last edition.
